So I was reading a book of poetry quotes and came across part of one by John Keats:
"Give me books, fruit, french wine, fine weather and a little music out of doors by someone I do not know..."
Doesn't that evoke something beautiful? A warm summer day, relaxing with a trashy novel in a hammock... Isn't it lovely how just a few words strung together can do so much? It's so much better than my brainless paraphrase:
"Give me Entertainment Weekly, a bag of Doritos, a microbrewed beer, a partly sunny day and an mp3 filled with my bizarre music mix (Ratt may or may not be included)..."
Just doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?
